The Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Haendra Subekti, explained in his opening that this Draft Law has been started since 2019, the revision of the nuclear law Number 10 of 1997 concerning Nuclear is expected to be able to fulfil and answer current conditions.

Furthermore, the presentation of material by two speakers. The first presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. Bayu Dwi Anggono, S.H., M.H. Professor of Legislation, Faculty of Law, University of Jember. Bayu presented material on the regulation of the authority of investigation in the Indonesian state administration. The second presentation was delivered by Arie Afriansyah on the authority of POLRI and TNI investigations in the context of defence, security and law enforcement in the Sea of the Republic of Indonesia.

The event was followed by a discussion session where there were things that need attention; namely the decision of the Constitutional Court provides space for investigators from other institutions other than POLRI, the process of coordinating other institutions with POLRI, the competence of TNI and POLRI that do not need to be doubted.
