The Education and Training Center (BDL) of BAPETEN in collaboration with the Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN) held an online Training of Main Equipment Monitoring System (Alutsiwas) on February 2-5, 2021. This training aims to identify and learn the tools used in the supervisory system, as well as improving competence and good understanding of the use of tools.
The event began with a report by the Head of BDL Lukman Hakim. In his report, Lukman said that the Alutsiwas training used an online method and was attended by 24 participants from various work units at BAPETEN.
Furthermore, Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection Zainal Arifin gave a speech and officially opened the training. In his remarks, Zainal said, “Currently, in nuclear control there are conventional tools and there are also sophisticated tools. The use of this Alutsiwas should be trained on how to use properly, effective, and correct tools, because this concerns the credibility of the supervisory body in using the equipment.”
The event continued with the presentation "Policy on the Use of Alutsiwas". In this presentation, it is explained about the types and functions of the Alutsiwas, the storage of Radiation Measuring Equipment (AUR), and the sanctions for violations.
The training, which was held for 5 (five) days, is expected to be able to provide participants with an understanding of how to use and store tools after use, as well as adjusting the use of tools, especially during the pandemic, by sterilizing tools after use. [BHKK/IP/OR/RA]
