BAPETEN's Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) conducted Technical Guidance and On The Spot Licensing (OTSL) Acceleration Services for Utilization of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Facilities in Pontianak City, 27-28 June 2024. This activity aims to provide technical guidance and direct consultation to License Applicants related to the Fulfillment of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Licensing Requirements that are integrated via Online Single Submission (OSS) with Balis 2.5.

The event was conducted by inviting 40 different institutions each day for hospitals, health centers, and clinics whose licenses have expired in the province of West Kalimantan, parts of Central Kalimantan, as well as hospitals and clinics of Health Polytechnics receiving Portable X-ray Aircraft grants for the benefit of Active Case Finding TB activities or TB screening from the Ministry of Health. The event began with the opening by the Director of DPFRZR Ishak who in his speech expressed his hopes that the implementation of this activity could make it easier for business actors to obtain radiology licenses from BAPETEN. “BAPETEN will continue to provide this direct service every year, as a form of service to business actors to reduce communication deficiencies/limitations in applying for licenses online,” he added.

This was followed by remarks from the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, Erna Yulianti, who conveyed that BAPETEN is the only authorized agency in the use of nuclear power in Indonesia. He also said that invisible nuclear radiation requires comprehensive supervision, especially the use of X-ray devices. One of them is with one-day service activities where the applicant can submit a license application, be evaluated directly, and can be issued if it meets the requirements.
