Kembali 28 Juni 2024 | Berita BAPETENBAPETEN's Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) conducted Technical Guidance and On The Spot Licensing (OTSL) Acceleration Services for Utilization of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Facilities in Pontianak City, 27-28 June 2024. This activity aims to provide technical guidance and direct consultation to License Applicants related to the Fulfillment of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Licensing Requirements that are integrated via Online Single Submission (OSS) with Balis 2.5.
The event was conducted by inviting 40 different institutions each day for hospitals, health centers, and clinics whose licenses have expired in the province of West Kalimantan, parts of Central Kalimantan, as well as hospitals and clinics of Health Polytechnics receiving Portable X-ray Aircraft grants for the benefit of Active Case Finding TB activities or TB screening from the Ministry of Health. The activity was attended by participants according to the invitation and additional participants from other institutions that are in the licensing process.
The event began with the opening by the Director of DPFRZR Ishak who in his speech expressed his hopes that the implementation of this activity could make it easier for business actors to obtain radiology licenses from BAPETEN. “BAPETEN will continue to provide this direct service every year, as a form of service to business actors to reduce communication deficiencies/limitations in applying for licenses online,” he added.
This was followed by remarks from the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, Erna Yulianti, who conveyed that BAPETEN is the only authorized agency in the use of nuclear power in Indonesia. He also said that invisible nuclear radiation requires comprehensive supervision, especially the use of X-ray devices. One of them is with one-day service activities where the applicant can submit a license application, be evaluated directly, and can be issued if it meets the requirements.
“This is a good opportunity, and it has been a long time since similar activities were carried out in West Kalimantan, so it can be utilized well. Hopefully, this activity will become sustainable, and more health facilities can participate in this activity,” she said.
The event continued with a presentation by Ishak on “Nuclear Power Supervision Policy,” at the end of the presentation session a discussion and question and answer session was held by the participants regarding the licensing process and regulations, then a licensing service session and direct consultation at noon each day.
The second day of the activity began with a presentation on “Business Licensing Mechanism in the Nuclear Sector” by Maradi Abdillah and continued with the material “Acceptance Criteria for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology License Requirements” by Sulistiyoningsih. At the end of the presentation, discussions and questions and answers were held by the participants regarding the licensing requirements materials that had been submitted.
The enthusiastic attendance of the participants was utilized by consulting directly with the BAPETEN health facility licensing evaluator on the constraints of the licensing process for the utilization of nuclear power in the health sector, and the one-day permit issuance service can be carried out if the requirements are met.
