In his opening remarks, Hendra expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to socialize nuclear energy oversight so that the public can gain knowledge and understand nuclear supervision. He emphasized that the objective of Bakti Pengawasan is to introduce BAPETEN and build proximity with the community. Regarding healthcare facilities specializing in cancer, cardiology, stroke, and uro-nephrology, BAPETEN plays a key role in guiding hospitals to ensure safe and beneficial installation of radiation devices for patients. Furthermore, behind energy sector initiatives, the government is pushing for an energy transition toward nuclear energy deployment by 2032 to support the net-zero emission target by 2060. He expressed hope that the public would actively participate in advocating for safe and secure nuclear applications.

Meanwhile, Eddy Soeparno noted that while BAPETEN is rarely heard of by the public, its work is vital to daily life. Examples include hospital X-rays, research on superior rice seed varieties, and nuclear-based medical treatments for patient recovery. He added that under current stringent safety and security standards, hazardous radiation leaks are effectively prevented, while advancing technology makes nuclear energy far safer. Furthermore, with plans to harness nuclear power in potential regions such as Bangka and West Kalimantan, it is expected that clean, secure energy will be delivered to enhance the livelihoods of the Indonesian people.

The agenda proceeded with a presentation by Radiation Supervisor Sri Budi Utami on nuclear energy oversight for safety, security, and safeguards, alongside risk-based business licensing in the nuclear energy sector. Her presentation covered the benefits and risks of nuclear energy and the draft Nuclear Energy Law addressing key imperatives such as accommodating international conventions and treaties; nuclear management capable of driving industrial growth, public health, technological mastery, and energy provision; as well as optimizing nuclear energy resources, emergency preparedness and response, and S&T development. Lastly, radiation measuring instruments, such as the RadEye, and standard radioactive sources were demonstrated to participants, guided by Radiation Supervisor Manda Fermilia.
