Eight decades have passed since Indonesia declared its independence. This year, we commemorate not merely a date, but the long journey of a nation that continues to move forward, transform, and grow alongside its people.
Amidst the changing times and national leadership transitions, the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's independence marks the entry into a new era that is defined by more inclusive collaboration, broader participation, and shared hopes. This spirit infused the flag-raising ceremony held on the morning of Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the courtyard of the BAPETEN building, attended by Echelon I and II officials, all BAPETEN staff, and personnel from the KORPRI Central Secretariat.
Zainal Arifin, BAPETEN’s Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection, presided over the ceremony. As part of the proceedings, he presented the Satyalancana Karya Satya honorary award to several employees in recognition of their dedication, loyalty, integrity, competence, and discipline in carrying out their duties as civil servants (PNS).
The commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Indonesia's independence serves as a pivotal moment for BAPETEN to reinforce its commitment to supporting the "Golden Indonesia 2045" vision through professionalism, collaboration, and a culture of safety in every aspect of nuclear regulatory oversight.
