Public Consultation (KP) - Revision of Bapeten’s Regulation On The Management Of Licensing Based On The Risk-Based Military Sector

Directorate of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources (DP2FRZR) BAPETEN held public consultation with stakeholders in the framework of the revision from Bapeten’s Regulation on Licensing of Business-Based Risk-Based Military Sector. In this process stakeholders are given the opportunity to raise views and inputs on the design that has been prepared by the drafting team so that it is expected that the resulting laws and regulations are better able to be implemented and have a positive impact on the users of the regulation.

The activity was conducted online on Thursday (03/06) and invited representatives of agencies in the field of medicine, industry and research consisting of permit holders or business, Radiation Protection Officers (PPR) and radiation workers from medical, industrial, training institutions and test institutions.

Director of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources (DP2FRZR) Djoko Hari Nugroho officially opened the event. Djoko conveyed the Government's policy in facilitating the licensing process to strive to create a better investment climate and ease of effort has begun with the issuance of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Omnibus Law. This law then mandates the establishment of Government Regulation No. 5 of 2021 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing that accommodates 16 sectors including the electricity sector. As the implementer of the regulation, there has also been issued The Bapeten’s Regulation No. 3 of 2021 on Business Activity Standards and Product Standards on the Implementation of Risk-Based Licensing of the Military Sector. But these regulations are still not enough to facilitate the implementation of business activities, so the Draft of Bapeten’s regulation on The Management of Licensing Based on The Risk-Based Of The Military Sector.

The event continued with the presentation of the Draft Bapeten’s Regulation on Licensing of The Military Sector Risk-Based Efforts for the Subsector of Utilization of Ionizing Radiation Sources by the Coordinator of the Radiation Protection and Environmental Safety Regulation Function Aris Sanyoto and for the Subsector of Military Support delivered by the Quality Assurance Coordinator of the Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Rini Suryanti.

The QnA session closes the event. Questions and input submitted by participants become a record for the constituent team in making improvements to the draft regulations.
