The event was also attended by BAPETEN’s Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection ,Zainal Arifin, Head of the Education and Training Center, Ahmad Ciptadi Suryavin, and two experts from GE HEALTHCARE Sweden—Uno Zetterberg, the Global Product Director of Radiopharmacy, and Girish R, the Regional Product Manager of Radiopharmacy.

The event was opened with remarks from Zainal Arifin, who stated, “Through this workshop, we aim to encourage discussions, share experiences, and strengthen collaboration between BAPETEN, BRIN, and BPOM. Our collective involvement is crucial to ensure the safe operation of facilities and to support advancements in nuclear medicine for public health.”

“I encourage all participants to actively engage in discussions, share insights, and take advantage of this opportunity to deepen their technical and regulatory understanding. Together, we can strengthen national capacity while aligning with global safety and quality standards,” Zainal added.

The event continued with several presentations, including “Radiation of Radioisotopes and Radiopharmaceuticals in Indonesia” delivered by the Activity Manager from the Directorate of Licensing for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) BAPETEN. This was followed by “International Regulations and Standards – Global Standards Applied in Cyclotron Operations Based on Experience in Design, Safety, Quality, and Operation” presented by Uno Zetterberg, and “Overview of Cyclotron Facilities (Self-Shielded and Non-Self-Shielded)” delivered by Girish R.
