The RDP activity, which was opened by the Deputy Chairperson of Commission VII, Dony Maryadi Oekon, as the leader of the RDP, in his opening remarks conveyed that each institution should present the 2023 FY Financial Report.

The presentation was started by the Head of BIG, Muhamad Aris Marfai, followed by a presentation by Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Sugeng Sumbarjo, who explained the Central Government Financial Report for the 2023 State Budget. Furthermore, Sugeng explained the BAPETEN financial report for 2023, following up on the previous financial report, as well as the follow-up to the Audit Result Report of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (LHP BPK RI) up to the 2023 fiscal year.

Sugeng on that occasion was accompanied by Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection Zainal Arifin, Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Haendra Subekti, Head of the BAPETEN Inspectorate Hery Budi Santoso, Head of Bureau of Planning, Information and Finance Achmad Bussamah, and staff.

The discussion delivered by members of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives raised topics such as appreciation regarding the BAPETEN MoU with Andalas University some time ago. "Thank you for the appreciation; we will continue to develop cooperation with the university, especially regarding HR training for hospital staff for radiotherapy," explained Sugeng.

This RDP produced three points of conclusion, including Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) giving appreciation to the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN and the Head of BIG for the achievement of financial performance in 2023, which received an unqualified opinion (WTP). The DPR RI also urged the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN and the Head of BIG to follow up on all financial reports for 2023 and previous years according to the recommendations of the BPK RI and asked the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN and the Head of BIG to submit written answers to all questions raised by members of Commission VII of the DPR RI, including the results of follow-up or findings of the BPK RI, and submit them to Commission VII of the DPR RI no later than August 28, 2024.

In closing, Sugeng expressed his gratitude to Commission VII of the DPR for the support, appreciation, and direction during the 2023 budget period, and his party will immediately follow up on the findings and recommendations of the BPK RI. [BHKK/OR/GP/Translator: GP]
