BAPETEN Participation in the Coordination Meeting for the Refinement of KBLI 2020 Category B and E
Kembali 27 Februari 2025 | Berita BAPETENBAPETEN participated in the Coordination Meeting on the Improvement of the 2020 Indonesian Standard Classification of Business Fields (KBLI) for categories B and E at the BPS Office on Thursday, February 27, 2025. This meeting was organized by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) through the Directorate of Census and Survey Methodology Development (PMSS).
In addition to being held offline, BPS also provided an online link accessible to representatives from relevant Ministries/Agencies. The meeting was also attended by the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry BKPM, and BAPETEN. BAPETEN was represented by the Director of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Minerals DP2FRZR) and the Director of Regulation of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DP2IBN) in this coordination meeting.
In his remarks, the Director of PMSS BPS, Kadarmanto, stated that this activity is a necessary step in the process of refining the 2020 KBLI. The refinement process may involve adding new codes, changing titles, modifying descriptions, reassigning codes, and recoding. Some identified changes in categories B and E include the structural change from 073 to 0722, the creation of a new 39000 code to accommodate carbon capture and carbon storage activities, the expansion of code 38211 to include waste processing that generates electricity, and improvements in translation. It is expected that the relevant ministries/agencies involved in refining the 2020 KBLI for categories B and E will actively participate in these discussions.
The discussion on refining the 2020 KBLI for categories B and E was led and moderated by Lien Suharni, an Intermediate Expert Statistician at the PMSS Directorate of BPS. The discussion proceeded sequentially according to the KBLI code order. BAPETEN actively participated by presenting several proposals for improving the 2020 KBLI. These included five proposals for description revisions on codes 3812, 38220, 390, 3900, and 39000, as well as two proposals for new codes (38121 and 38221) related to radioactive waste management.
