BAPETEN Holds Corruption Prevention Socialization to Commemorate International Anti Corruption Day 2025
Kembali 08 Desember 2025 | Berita BAPETEN | 24 lihatBAPETEN organized a Socialization Program on Corruption Prevention and Eradication as part of the commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2025 at the BAPETEN Auditorium on Monday, December 8, 2025. The event, themed “Unite Actions to Eradicate Corruption,” featured two speakers: Agustinus Wibowo, Functional Officer for Anti-Corruption Socialization and Campaign at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and Dwi Iwan Susanto, Coordinator for Political Society at the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
The socialization program aimed to strengthen the institution’s commitment in preventing and eradicating corrupt practices within the organization. The event was attended by Acting Chairman of BAPETEN Zainal Arifin, Deputy for Nuclear Safety Assessment Haendra Subekti, as well as high-ranking officials and representatives from each work unit within BAPETEN.
The event was officially opened with remarks by the Head of BAPETEN’s Inspectorate, Achmad Bussamah, who stated that the socialization served as an important momentum in preventing and eradicating corrupt behavior. “Corruption prevention must begin with oneself through integrity in carrying out licensing and inspection activities,” he said.
Next, Haendra Subekti, emphasized the importance of anti-corruption education from an early age for future generations. “I hope that all BAPETEN employees can carry out their supervisory duties and functions with anti-corruption integrity,” he added.
The event then continued with a presentation by Agustinus Wibowo entitled “Unite Actions to Eradicate Corruption: Building Integrity in Nuclear Oversight.” In his presentation, Agustinus explained various forms of corruption and highlighted minor actions frequently encountered such as gratification, illegal levies, and extortion which, if left unaddressed, may develop into larger corrupt practices.
The discussion was further deepened through a presentation entitled “Efforts to Prevent Corruption through Risk Management” delivered by Dwi Iwan Susanto. In his presentation, Iwan stated that institutional leaders are obligated to conduct risk assessment and risk management. The risk management process includes risk identification, risk analysis, risk control activities, monitoring of risk controls, and monitoring reporting. These efforts aim to enhance compliance among risk owners, improve organizational performance, provide information on corruption risks, and increase the effectiveness of internal controls.
The event was concluded by Zainal Arifin, who emphasized the importance of anti-corruption integrity in carrying out supervisory duties and functions. According to him, when employees uphold high integrity, the risk of gratification in licensing services and inspection activities can be effectively mitigated. [BHKK/Anisa/Hafid/Da]
