Technical Guidance on Licensing for the Utilization of Nuclear Energy in the Health Sector and Follow-up on the Implementation of Collaborative Inspections
Kembali 09 Juli 2024 | Berita BAPETENTechnical Guidance (Bimtek) was carried out in the framework of collaborative supervision of the utilization of nuclear energy between The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) and the West Java Investment and One-Stop Licensing Service Office (DPMPTSP), an activity aimed at improving the competence of The Investment Board One Stop Service (or Dinas Penanaman Modal Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu/DPMPTSP) personnel in terms of licensing the utilization of nuclear energy and the mechanism of its supervision process, held at the Hall of the West Java Province DPMPTSP Office on July 9, 2024.
The event was opened by the Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection of BAPETEN, Zainal Arifin, who, in his opening remarks, said, "BAPETEN will continue to encourage the creation of a good investment climate, but in carrying out its business, it must still prioritize safety. This is considering that several cases of accidents in the industrial world are still found related to procedural errors in the use of radioactive substances."
The speech was continued by the Secretary of the DPMPTSP Office, Denni Rusyana, who emphasized that "DPMPTSP personnel as frontliners in licensing management issues must have sufficient competence to provide information services to business actors or the community regarding nuclear licensing so that they can support an increasingly conducive investment climate.
