Radiotherapy Permit Verification at Primaya Hospital Bekasi Barat
Kembali 20 Agustus 2025 | Berita BAPETEN | 40 lihatThe Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR), conducted a verification of the radiotherapy facility at Primaya Hospital Bekasi Barat, Bekasi City, West Java, from August 11 to 14, 2025.
The activity aimed to ensure that the bunker for the Linear Accelerator (LINAC) external beam therapy met safety standards for workers, patients, the public, and the environment. The verification team inspected the compliance of the radiation shielding design, the suitability of primary and supporting equipment, personnel competence, and radiotherapy operating procedures.
The inspection team was led by BAPETEN Radiation Inspector Ahmad Maulana, with an inspection scope including:
- verification of technical documents and facility design compliance,
- testing of radiotherapy bunker wall thickness,
- performance testing of the Shinva LINAC unit (type XHA600E) and its supporting equipment,
- measurement of radiation exposure and dosimetry testing,
- examination of patient service workflows and operator competence,
- evaluation of radiation protection equipment and safety systems.
The verification results indicated the hospital's commitment to addressing the findings raised by the BAPETEN team within the established timeframe. Throughout the process, the hospital provided full support and accepted the inspection results as technical input for meeting radiation safety standards in accordance with applicable regulations.
