Public Consultation of The Regulations Draft on Licensing of Risk-Based Electricity Sector

Directorate of Regulation of Nuclear Installation and Materials held a Public Consultation on Regulations Draft on Licensing of the Risk-Based Electricity Sector, which was conducted online and offline on Tuesday (15/6/).

The event was attended by representatives of permit users in the electricity sector and Bapeten employees in the Nuclear Installation and Materials cluster. It aims to ask for input on the regulations draft in order to be able implemented and fair at the time of operation later.

In this activity there are Deputy Chairman of Nuclear Safety Assessment Dahlia Cakrawati Sinaga, Director of Regulation of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DP2IBN) and staff, several Bapeten employees from the Installation and Nuclear Materials cluster and several companies.

The event began with a report from Haendra Subekti. In his report Haendra hopes that this regulation draft can be promulgated soon because this regulation is one of the implementations of the Online Single Submission (OSS) system that will be operationalized in July 2021.

Meanwhile, Dahlia said that the existence of this regulation is also a derivative of the Omnibus Law that has been approved by the DPR. "The purpose of the issuance of this regulation is to facilitate all licensing and business requirements so this becomes a reform to business owner who can carry out their activities properly and smoothly," she said.

Furthemore Dahlia said what is formulated in this regulation becomes the basis in the OSS that is being formulated by BKPM and later will be integrated with Balis. "What is in Balis will be reinforced by the system made by BKPM, even on behalf of BKPM but technically done by Bapeten".

"Please provide input and suggestions so it can be assimilated, especially on OSS and Balis systems so that there are no obstacles or rambling in the licensing process and done by applying 3 S, Safety Security and Safeguard," she added.
