The National Accreditation Committee (KAN) conducted an Initial Assessment of the Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN), Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) in receiving ISO 17024:2012 Accreditation for services related to the Certification of Competence of Personnel for the Suitability Test of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology X-Ray Machine on 22-23 August 2024. This activity was carried out in accordance with the joint commitment of DKKN regarding the assessment and assurance of certified quality in improving the performance of superior and prime services through ISO 17024:2012 accreditation.
The Initial Assessment of ISO 17024:2012 Accreditation aims to ensure that the Personnel Certification Institution (LSP), in this case DKKN BAPETEN, through the Decree of the BAPETEN Chairman No. 2149 of 2023 on the Determination of DKKN BAPETEN as the LSP for the Conformity Test of the RDI X-Ray Machine, can provide certification of personnel competency in accordance with international standards. This standard regulates the general requirements for certification bodies that carry out personnel certification, for example, in terms of competency, impartiality, and transparency. This assessment ensures that the competency certification process by DKKN BAPETEN is carried out consistently, fairly, and reliably so that the credibility of the certificates issued is guaranteed and recognized internationally.
This activity is conducted in both formats: in person and virtually using a Zoom meeting room. This initial assessment covers the suitability and adequacy of the current documents, their application, and any supporting information or more thorough evidence.
Zulkarnain, the director of DKKN, all of the personnel of the DKKN Quality Assurance Function Group, and the manager of organizational and administrative operations from the Bureau of Organization and General Services (BOU) attended this event.
At the end of the activity, the assessor appointed by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) gave an assessment during the assessment; the assessment results for DKKN BAPETEN were declared adequate and fair. The assessor gave a positive assessment of the involvement of the committed and cooperative team during the assessment; the transparency of data and information provided to the assessor; and the control and implementation of documents in the implementation of services were considered good, and there were no critical non-conformities. So that DKKN BAPETEN is qualified for the next stage in the process of obtaining ISO 17024:2012 accreditation. [DKKN/Ekosapto/BHKK/Da/Translator: GP]
