The event began with a report from the Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Rudy Salahuddin. He explained that ALI serves as a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of One-Stop Integrated Services (Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu, or PTSP) and business licensing implementation, aiming to drive the standardization of business licensing services at the national level.

"ALI was first held in 2021 and continued through 2024. After a hiatus in 2025 due to budget efficiency policies, the 2026 edition marks the fifth time the event has been held. We hope this performance assessment does not stop at merely presenting awards but serves as a foundation for guidance and continuous improvement. Licensing services must not end with the issuance of permits; they must also support the resolution of business obstacles and oversee the realization of investments," Rudy explained.

In his opening remarks, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, expressed his appreciation to all the ministries, agencies, and local governments in attendance for their continued commitment to improving the quality of public services.

"Investment services are a key factor in fostering an increasingly conducive national investment climate by ensuring service certainty. I extend my gratitude to all ministries and agencies that have integrated their licensing systems into the Online Single Submission (OSS) platform. This represents a tangible breakthrough, aligning with the president's directive for us to work swiftly and precisely while delivering significant economic impact. In order to attract investment, we compete with other nations that are continuously refining their policies and ensuring predictable licensing timelines; therefore, we must forge ahead," asserted Rosan.

At the event's highlight, BAPETEN officially received the ALI 2026 award in the Ministry/Agency category, recognizing its commitment to maintaining the quality and reliability of its licensing processes.
