Focus Group Discussion on Updating the National Diagnostic Guidelines for General Radiography, CT Scans, and Fluoroscopy

To revamp the National Diagnostic Guidelines for General Radiography, CT Scans, and Fluoroscopy, on Monday, June 30, 2025, BAPETEN, through the Centre for Regulatory Assessment of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (P2STPFRZR), held an online focus group discussion (FGD). Representatives from the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), the Indonesian Radiology Specialist Association (PDSRI), the Indonesian Cardiovascular Specialist Association (PERKI), the Indonesian Interventional Cardiology Association (PIKI), the Indonesian Medical Physicists Alliance (AFISMI), the Indonesian Radiographers Association (PARI), Diponegoro University, the Universitas Indonesia, the Semarang Health Polytechnic, and representatives from technical work units within BAPETEN were also present.
The FGD also included a brief presentation on the introduction of TPD, the methodology and stages of determining TPD values, a profile of the distribution of data contributions for each modality across Indonesia, and a profile of TPD values for each examination in general radiography, CT scan, and fluoroscopy modalities. Endang Kunarsih, the Lead of the National TPD Implementation Working Group, presented the event.
Rusmanto concluded by expressing his aspiration that the names of the different examination/procedure types could be standardized, that dissemination of patient dose data reporting through Si-INTAN would continue to be improved by both professional associations and the BAPETEN team; that the Patient Dose Data Information System (Si-INTAN) application would continue to be developed to facilitate facility implementation; and that participation in the Call for Candidates would be crucial for compliance with patient dose data reporting for healthcare facilities throughout Indonesia.
