The field verification was conducted following the evaluation results in the B@LIS 2.5 application, which were deemed eligible to proceed to the next stage. This process is a mandatory step in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 5 of 2021 on Risk-Based Business Licensing and BAPETEN Regulation Number 1 of 2022 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing in the Nuclear Sector.

PT. Alypz International Indonesia, located in Yogyakarta, has applied for designation to conduct environmental radioactivity measurements. The scope of measurements includes gross alpha and gross beta radioactivity in water samples (excluding seawater and wastewater), as well as in-situ radioactivity measurements covering external radiation/gamma exposure, alpha and beta surface contamination, and indoor radon measurements.

This activity was led by Senior Radiation Supervisor Suryo Adi Ari Santosa, accompanied by Junior Radiation Supervisor Irma Septi Ardiani. The verification aims to confirm the alignment between the submitted documents and actual field conditions, including the company’s readiness to operate as an environmental radioactivity laboratory. The verification team was warmly welcomed by the Director of PT. Alypz International Indonesia, Nur Ahmadi Wijaya, along with the personnel responsible for providing environmental radioactivity testing services.

On the first day, the activity began with an entry meeting and a presentation from PT. AlypzInternational Indonesia outlining the company profile and the testing services to be provided. This was followed by a thorough review of legal documents, management systems, equipment, testing methods, and human resource competencies. The second day focused on performance test simulations, including the preparation and measurement of gross alpha and gross beta in water samples, as well as indoor radon measurements. The team also evaluated the company’s ability to process data and prepare test result reports.

The verification activity concluded with the signing of the Verification Inspection Report (BAP) by both parties. All findings during the verification process were immediately addressed by PT. AlypzInternational Indonesia on-site, leaving no significant issues requiring further follow-up. The designation of PT. Alypz International Indonesia is expected to provide the public with more options for environmental radioactivity testing services in Indonesia.
