The objective of this activity is to see directly the facilities, infrastructure, and resources owned by the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FST) at Nusa Cendana University, Kupang, to become a nuclear training institution and to facilitate the management to get direct explanations and discuss with the Quality Assurance Function Group, Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN) regarding the legal basis and requirements that must be met.

This activity was led by Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Sugeng Sumbarjo, accompanied by Director of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness, Zulkarnain; Head of Nuclear Training Institution Appointment Working Group Rini Suryanti; and a team consisting of Joni S. Kadir and Eko Sapto Aji.

Maxs U. E. Sanam, the Chancellor of Nusa Cendana University Kupang, Philiphi de Rozari, the Dean of FST Nusa Cendana University Kupang, and all of the campus personnel, including a number of academics, welcomed the exploratory event. Maxs U. E. Sanam appreciated BAPETEN representatives for their attendance in his remarks. According to him, Nusa Cendana University Kupang aims to gain greater prominence through the Nuclear Training Institute and is optimistic that BAPETEN will provide direction during the establishment of the institute.

Following that, Philiphi de Rozari delivered a presentation on the state of the university's training institution resources at Nusa Cendana University, Kupang.

The next event was a public lecture by Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Sugeng Sumbarjo, attended by management, lecturers, and students of Nusa Cendana University Kupang. In the event, Zulkarnain, as Director of DKKN, explained the history and duties of BAPETEN in supervising safety through the establishment of the Nuclear Training Institute. Then continued with a presentation from Rini Suryanti, who in her presentation explained the organizational structure and duties of DKKN, service information, types of legal entities and distribution of training institutes, status and development of training institutes, legal basis, requirements for training institutes, and information technology systems that support BAPETEN services, especially the Nuclear Sector Supporting Sub-Sector.

A discussion and Q&A session followed, along with a tour of Nusa Cendana University Kupang's FST facilities, which included classrooms, labs, and an examination of various auxiliary spaces like libraries, parking lots, and praying facilities.

Zulkarnain, the Director of DKKN BAPETEN, led the BAPETEN team in concluding that FST Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang has the potential to develop into a nuclear energy training facility, particularly in the area of Radiation Protection Officers (PPR).
