Kembali 25 Juni 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) attended the continued discussion of the RUU EBET (Draft Law on New Energy and Renewable Energy or Rancangan Undang-Undang tentang Energi Baru dan Energi Terbarukan) in Jakarta on June 24, 2024, and at Commission VII DPR RI Nusantara Building on June 25, 2024. This meeting was attended by BAPETEN leaders, Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection Zainal Arifin and Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety and Assessment Haendra Subekti, who continued the discussion of the Draft Law on New Energy and Renewable Energy (RUU EBET).
This meeting was initiated by Commission VII DPR RI with the agenda of discussing and deepening several pending issues of the RUU EBET, including substances related to the use of domestic products (PDN) and the fulfillment of electricity needs from New Energy and Renewable Energy based on the Green Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL). The PDN in question is in the form of components and services in its implementation for the construction and operation of power plants for new energy and renewable energy. Prioritization of domestic products and potential for new energy and renewable energy businesses is carried out for the scope of domestic component levels for goods and components of goods and a combination of goods and services in new energy and renewable energy projects.
Then, for consumer needs, using joint utilization of transmission networks and distribution networks through a network rental mechanism. In terms of joint utilization of transmission networks or distribution networks through a network rental mechanism (power wheeling) to meet consumer needs for the provision of electricity sourced from New Energy and Renewable Energy, then the electricity transmission or distribution business is required to open up opportunities for joint utilization of transmission networks through a network rental mechanism. Matters related to the public interest must meet the requirements of maintaining and paying attention to aspects of network capacity, system reliability, quality of customer service, economic aspects, and balance of supply and electricity needs.
It is hoped that this EBET Bill will prioritize domestic goods and services both in the construction and operation of new and renewable energy generators, including joint utilization of transmission networks or distribution networks through a network rental mechanism that includes nuclear energy.
