Coordination of BAPETEN's UPP Saber Pungli with the Central Saber Pungli Task Force Through the Si Duli Application Technical Guidance
Kembali 09 Oktober 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) followed up on the letter from the Secretary of the Central Saber Pungli Task Force, UPP Saber Pungli (Illegal Levies Eradication Task Force Unit) BAPETEN through a visit to the Post of the Secretary of the Central Saber Pungli Task Force while also participating in technical guidance on the use of the Complaint and Reporting of Extortion (Si Duli) application by the Central Saber Pungli Task Force in Jakarta on October 9, 2024, with the aim of helping to minimize the potential for extortion in the BAPETEN environment.
During this visit, the Secretary of the Central Saber Pungli Task Force, Inspector-General of Police. Dr. Andry Wibowo, S.I.K., M.H., M.Si., expressed his appreciation to the UPP of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency, who visited the Central Saber Pungli Task Force. "We really appreciate the visit of the UPP BAPETEN to coordinate and conduct technical guidance for the Si Duli Application as well as the achievement of its excellent performance in mitigating extortion," said Inspector-General Andry. Furthermore, Inspector-General Andry explained that the Saber Pungli Task Force will continue to exist during the new government because the presence of the Saber Pungli Task Force is expected to minimize the occurrence of extortion. "Although extortion is with a small nominal value, if it continues, it will certainly be large, especially if it is cumulative nationally, the potential for extortion in the public service licensing sector," he explained.
Hery Budi Santoso, Head of Internal Auditors and Chair of the BAPETEN Saber Pungli UPP, said that activities at BAPETEN have the potential to intersect with illegal levies, including licensing, inspections, procurement of goods and services, and others, so that BAPETEN always forms the BAPETEN Saber Pungli UPP Team every year and reports activities to the Central Saber Pungli Task Force of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs.
At the end of his briefing, the Secretary of the Central Saber Pungli Task Force hoped that the UPP of the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency would actively participate in preventing extortion in the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency environment. "This not only prevents extortion but is also able to prevent disasters caused by negligence in granting permits for the use of nuclear energy," concluded Inspector-General Andry. [BHKK/GP]
