At the opening of the event, Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection, Zainal Arifin, provided direction, stating, "BAPETEN, as the regulator, has the authority to oversee the use of nuclear energy in Indonesia, including strengthening nuclear security infrastructure through regulatory development, improving detection equipment at borders, and increasing human resource capacity across institutions. " Further direction was delivered by the Director of DIFRZR (Directorate of Inspection of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials), Zulkarnain, who stated that the BAPETEN meeting with the ORS PNNL-US DoE delegation discussed joint inspection procedures. Zulkarnain also expressed his expectation that this collaboration would yield positive results for all parties in maintaining the security of radioactive facilities in Indonesia.

The US Department of Energy (DoE) delegation, including Jake Atwell, ORS Physical Protection Expert, as well as Russell Haffner and Robert Marek, ORS Training Expert, along with Indonesian regulators and inspection teams, will hold discussions, share experiences, and directly observe the inspection process at two different facilities. These activities will include pre-inspection meetings, document reviews, interviews, security system evaluations, discussions of inspection results, and the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a collaborative learning tool.
