BAPETEN Holds Briefing Session for LPDP Scholarship Recipients
Kembali 04 Februari 2025 | Berita BAPETENBAPETEN, through the Center for Education and Training (BDL), held a briefing session for employees receiving the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarships on February 4, 2025, at the BAPETEN Building, Jakarta. The briefing was given to two scholarship recipients: Muhammad Rifqi Harahap from Head of Centre For Regulatory Assesment (P2STPIBN), who will pursue a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and Rohmat Istiawan from BDL, who will undertake a Master of Education in Digital Learning at Monash University, Australia.
Muhammad Rifqi Harahap will pursue a Master by Research degree in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, for two years. His research will focus on “Benchmarking the Dynamic Methods and Modelling for Probabilistic Safety Assessment of Nuclear Power Plants for Station-Blackout LOCA Scenario.” Meanwhile, Rohmat Istiawan will undertake a Master by Coursework degree in Master of Education in Digital Learning at Monash University, Australia, for two years.
The briefing session began with remarks from the Head of the Center for Education and Training, Ahmad Ciptadi Suryavin, who emphasized the importance of thorough preparation before starting their studies to ensure they meet the academic targets. He also encouraged the scholarship recipients to complete their studies on time and uphold the institution’s reputation wherever they are.
“This briefing aims to provide scholarship recipients with a clear understanding of their rights and obligations during their study period, ensuring that the entire learning process runs effectively and optimally,” he stated.
Next, the Head of the Study Assignment Management Team explained the monitoring and evaluation mechanism for study assignments in accordance with BAPETEN Regulation No. 4 of 2021 and the Procedure for Assigning BAPETEN Employees to Domestic and Overseas Education and Training Programs. The session covered the rights and obligations of study assignment recipients, performance standards that must be achieved, submission of study and quarterly performance reports, and the sanctions imposed for late reporting.
In her introductory and motivational remarks, the Head of Centre For Regulatory Assesment of Nuclear and Installation Materials (P2STPIBN), Taruniyati Handayani, emphasized that study assignments funded by the state must comply with all applicable regulations. She encouraged the scholarship recipients to thoroughly read BAPETEN Regulation No. 4 of 2021 on Study Assignments for BAPETEN Civil Servants and the relevant SOPs to ensure a clear understanding of the study assignment process.
“Always deliver the best results for the institution, and after completing your studies, return to serve and contribute to making BAPETEN even better,” she added.
The event concluded with the signing of the study assignment agreement, serving as a commitment from the scholarship recipients to carry out their studies responsibly and to return to BAPETEN upon completing their programs. (BDL/AI/BHKK/GP/TranslatorNA
