The activity featured presentations delivered by representatives of relevant institutions, namely A. Praba from the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) and Heru Prasetyo from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The presentations addressed developments in standardization activities in the field of nuclear energy, as well as the management of technical committees supporting the formulation and development of Indonesian National Standards (SNI). The main discussion of the meeting focused on the plan to transfer the management of technical committees within the nuclear sector. In addition, the composition of technical committee membership was also discussed, involving representatives from the government, experts, industry players, and consumers to ensure that the standard formulation process can be carried out effectively and in line with the needs of nuclear technology utilization in Indonesia.

On the same occasion, direction was also conveyed by the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Zainal Arifin, who emphasized the importance of strengthening internal coordination and interagency collaboration in the management of technical committees. This includes the need for regular meetings and the development of clear work programs to ensure that standardization activities in the nuclear sector can be carried out sustainably and provide optimal support for nuclear safety regulatory oversight.

This activity is expected to foster stronger synergy between BAPETEN, BSN, and BRIN in supporting the development of national standards in the field of nuclear energy.
