Centre for Regulatory Assessment of RFRM team was welcomed by General Manager of PJB Gresik Generator Unit Sidik Wiyono who was accompanied by the PJB team consisting of the Operation and Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Logistics Manager, and their staff.

This visit aims to explore national experiences from industries that require components with a high level of reliability to be used as input for the Technical Study of Nuclear Reactor Component Manufacturing Safety in support of drafting the BAPETEN Regulation (Perba).

PJB has had experience operating power generation units since 1978 and currently has an installed capacity of 2,220 MW, which comes from three blocks of gas-steam power plants (PLTGU), four coal-fired power plants (PLTU) Units, and two gas-fueled power plants (PLTG) Units, so that PJB Gresik Generator Unit is a national source of knowledge and experience which is quite sufficient for study activities.

Between the visit activities, a discussion was held to dig the further knowledge and experience, moderated by Diah Hidayanti as the PIC of the activity. The discussion has generated a lot of information from Operations and Maintenance Managers, Logistics Managers, and Engineering Managers about Supply Chain Management related to the process of procuring critical components, maintenance, and supplying spare parts until inspection to manufacturing activities which can be a valuable input for this study.

At the end of the discussion, there was a mutual understanding and agreement between the supervision carried out by BAPETEN and the business processes carried out by the Gresik Generation Unit PJB.
