Assistance in Reporting Patient Radiation Dose Data in South Sulawesi
Kembali 29 Juni 2024 | Berita BAPETENBAPETEN's Center for Regulatory Assessment of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (P2STPFRZR) assisted in reporting radiation doses of diagnostic and interventional radiology patients in South Sulawesi on June 27-29, 2024. This activity is part of a guidance effort for healthcare facilities so that they can commit to compliance with reporting patient radiation dose data to BAPETEN regularly. The main target of this assistance service recipient is healthcare facilities that have never reported patient dose data records through Si-INTAN.
Reporting patient radiation dose data records to BAPETEN has become an obligation that must be complied with by hospitals and clinics that have diagnostic and interventional radiology services as mandated in BAPETEN Regulation No.4 of 2020 Article 18.
This is the first mentoring activity to be carried out and will be scheduled on an ongoing basis for other areas. In this activity, the team led by the Head of the National Patient Radiation Dose Mapping Working Group, Endang Kunarsih, provided direct guidance for the process of recording radiation dose data as well as the reporting mechanism and assisted in giving radiation output data through direct measurement of the modalities owned. Endang Kunarsih expects that after receiving assistance, facilities must be diligent in recording patient doses completely and routinely report them to BAPETEN.
Assistance to facilities in the South Sulawesi region was provided to Primaya Hospital Makassar, Hermina Hospital Makassar, Labuang Baji Hospital, and Dadi Regional Hospital South Sulawesi Province. Facilities receiving mentoring services are quite enthusiastic because the difficulties and obstacles faced by facilities can be directly guided for resolution so that they can smoothly carry out reporting. Facilities have also committed to reporting patient radiation dose data regularly to BAPETEN. [P2STPFRZR/Hermansyah/BHKK/CD/Da]
