The event was opened by the Chairman of BAPETEN Jazi Eko Istiyanto, he said "Anugerah BAPETEN 2020 is divided into 2 main areas, namely the field of radiation facilities and radioactive sources and the field of installation and nuclear materials.For the field of radiation facilities and radioactive sources, the BAPETEN Award is given to agencies that get excellent predicate from evaluations conducted on the results of facility inspections, monitoring of worker doses, implementation of the licensing process, to emergency events in facilities."

"The award was also given to the regional head. The regional head who received the BAPETEN Award was chosen based on the number of BAPETEN Award recipient agencies located in the local government area.The regional government of BAPETEN Award recipients consists of 3 provincial heads, including Prov DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten.In addition, the 3 district/city governments that received the BAPETEN Award are South Jakarta, Bekasi and Cilegon."

"The implementation of Bapeten award this time is coincidence with the Covid-19 Pandemic, inspection challenge during the Covid-19 pandemic.Since April, May, June we stop.
