The event was attended by 47 participants from representatives of nuclear technology application users in the fields of health and industry, related agencies and professional associations, and was opened by the Head of the Sub-Directorate for the Regulation of Radiation Protection and Environmental Safety, Aris Sanyoto. Followed by the presentation of the Draft Government Regulation Substitute No. 56 of 2014 concerning Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) that apply to BAPETEN by Diella Ayudhya Susanti and Bapeten’s Chairman Regulation No. 4 of 2013 concerning Radiation Protection and Safety in Nuclear Power Utilization by Aris Sanyoto.

In the first session of discussion and question and answer input was obtained from participants who needed to get attention and follow-up from BAPETEN, namely related to efforts needed to shorten the time for permit evaluation, formulation of the cost of changing permits higher than the cost of new licenses, and consideration of whether there were subsidies from BAPETEN for PNBP rates especially for high tariffs so as not to overburden users. While the second session the participants asked a number of questions including the requirements of diagnostic radiology rooms, X-ray discharges which were not used, the use and reading of TLDs, and requirements for animal radiology.
