In order to pass this competency test, inspector personnel must demonstrate both strong technical skills and a positive attitude. This is because inspectors are evaluated by the community as well as the Inspection Management Unit. The written exam (essay) and interview processes are used to evaluate technical skills and attitude.

In addition, Zainal Arifin stated that as risk-based business licensing is currently in effect for nuclear energy supervision, BAPETEN needs to conduct inspections with strong risk-based planning and assign inspectors with suitable technical expertise and attitudes.

The Bill (RUU) on New Energy and Renewable Energy (EBET) is currently being discussed, which includes nuclear as one of the alternative energies that will be the legal basis for the construction of nuclear power plants (PLTN). The FRZR Inspector will later be involved in the implementation of supervision of PLTN, which will undoubtedly contain radiation facilities and the use of radioactive materials.
