BAPETEN, through the Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR), held Development Activities and Licensing Services for the Use of Baggage Scanners, Scanners for Non-Medical Purposes, and Inspection of Cargo and/or Containers on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Bandung, West Java.

The event was opened by the Director of DPFRZR, Ishak, who said that today's activity, apart from coaching activities, is also a consultation regarding licensing, and if the participants have prepared documents for licensing, at the end of the event there will be a live licensing service on site. So ionizing radiation source equipment at all airports under the auspices of Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II will have permits in accordance with statutory regulations.

"The target of today's activity is not only sharing knowledge and information; you can even directly apply for permission," continued Ishak.

Furthermore, the presentation material from the source persons was delivered in a panel moderated by Ida Bagus Manuaba, Interim Research and Industrial Facilities Licensing Coordinator. The first presentation was delivered by Ishak on "Licensing Policy for the Nuclear Energy Sector," and the second presentation was on "Licensing for the Use of Baggage Scanners, Scanners for Non-Medical Purposes, and Cargo and/or Container Inspection" by Sugiyanto, Young Expert Radiation Supervisor. The third presentation was "Licensing System Transport/Delivery of Radioactive Substances” by M. Dradjat Kurniawan, Young Expert Radiation Supervisor.

In the discussion and question-and-answer session, the activity participants were very enthusiastic about asking questions to the source persons. The event continued with direct licensing consultations between participants and BAPETEN DPFRZR evaluators and on-site licensing services.

In this activity, a public service satisfaction and anti-corruption survey were also carried out in accordance with the mandate of the Minister for the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation Number 8 of 2019 on Independent Assessment of the Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform (PMPRB).

The event was closed by Ishak, who appreciated the participants, who were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity.
