Enhancing Human Resource Competence, BAPETEN Holds a Modern Office Workshop

The event was attended by the Head of the Protocol and Administrative Affairs Division, Kuspriyanto: a resource person from the National Institute of Public Administration (LAN), Agung Nugroho: the Moderator, Senior Archivist Rina Sari: and 30 participants from within BAPETEN.
In his opening remarks, Kuspriyanto stated that secretaries assigned to assist senior and intermediate high-ranking officials have never received a workshop aimed at practicing ideal work standards. He further explained that this workshop is intended to enhance the competencies of secretarial human resources in line with the times, improve the professionalism of secretaries in providing services to leaders, enable them to uphold confidentiality in both professional and official matters, and encourage them to present a positive and professional personal image to both leaders and colleagues within their working environment. Furthermore, he added that, going forward, a specialized three month training program for secretaries will be conducted, which will ultimately lead to the issuance of a competency certificate
During the main session, Agung presented topics on modern office management, effective communication, service ethics, and case study discussions. According to Agung, the three fundamental principles of modern office management are efficiency, effectiveness, as well as accountability and transparency. He further explained the REACH Model Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity, and Humble as an approach to achieving effective communication.
The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session on communication strategies that can reach all levels, positions, and generations within the workplace. In the closing session, Kuspriyanto expressed his hope that the knowledge gained during the workshop would be beneficial and could be applied in the working environment. (BHKK/RA/HRUF)
