Egyptian Delegation completed their activities in Indonesia by visiting Multipurpose Reactor (MPR) GA Siwabessy, the biggest research reactor located in Serpong. Their visit are accompanied by BAPETEN officials who introduced regulatory process and mechanism to ensure the safety and security aspects of their licensees.
As a host institution, BATAN sent 2 of their Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary to explain important safety and security features of MPR 30 reactor. Some important yet interesting questions raised during the briefing. Delegation leader, Atef Abdelh Ameed Abdel Fattah Elkadime, thanked BATAN and BAPETEN for this rare opportunity and wished to continue this cooperation and partnership.
This visit was ended by facility walk-through and demonstration of safe operation of the reactor. [BHO/MR]
