BAPETEN Conducts a Benchmarking Visit on Public Information Management to Universitas Padjadjaran
Kembali 25 November 2025 | Berita BAPETEN | 11 lihatIn an effort to strengthen public information transparency and enhance institutional communication strategies, BAPETEN conducted a benchmarking activity on public information management at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Jatinangor, on November 25, 2025. Unpad was selected due to its reputation as a higher education institution with an advanced and well-integrated public information service system and communication management.
The BAPETEN PPID Team was led by the Manager of the Public Communication Functional Group Activities (BHKK) of BAPETEN, Abdul Qohhar, and was directly received by the Director of Institutional Affairs and Governance of Universitas Padjadjaran, Ika Komalasari.
The event commenced with opening remarks from the Ika Komalasari, who expressed her appreciation for BAPETEN’s visit as part of efforts to improve the quality of public information services.
The event continued with a presentation by the Secretary of the Directorate of Institutional Affairs and Governance of Universitas Padjadjaran, Ahmad Baehaqi, who outlined Unpad information and documentation management system. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of synchronizing institutional communication, ensuring the professionalism of PPID managers, maintaining consistency in the provision of periodic, on-demand, and immediate information, as well as strengthening digital public servis.
During the discussion session, the Manager of the Public Communication Functional Group Activities (BHKK) of BAPETEN explained the implementation of Public Information Disclosure (PID) governance at BAPETEN. The Public Communication Unit operates under the Bureau of Law, Cooperation, and Public Communication (BHKK) of BAPETEN and is responsible for carrying out public relations activities, institutional publications, and public education related to nuclear oversight in the health, industrial, and research sectors. The unit also provides periodic information, information available at any time, and manages exempted information in accordance with Public Information Disclosure regulations.
“The presence of the BAPETEN Team at Universitas Padjadjaran aims to obtain input, share experiences, and improve Public Information Disclosure governance going forward, including in the procurement process of goods and services related to information services,” he added.
Through this meeting, the BAPETEN team learned various technical aspects that have been implemented by Universitas Padjadjaran, including PPID governance, digital information service innovations, website and social media management, standards for information request services, and the use of technology in disseminating public information.
The team also conducted a direct visit to Universitas Padjadjaran Integrated Service Unit and held discussions on best practices in information crisis management and strategies to increase public participation through official social media channels.
The BAPETEN team assigned to this activity included Abdul Qohhar, Manager of the Public Communication Functional Group Activities (BHKK) of BAPETEN: Devi Susanti, Policy Analyst: and Public Relations Officers Retno Agustyah, Sutiono Purwosunu, Siti Nuryuli Setiyaningrum, Octha Riau Septiany, Denny Aprianto, Glend Pradana, and Chika Dianza Alifha.
Meanwhile, the Universitas Padjadjaran team consisted of Ika Komalasari, Director of Institutional Affairs and Governance; Ahmad Baehaqi, Secretary of the Directorate of Institutional Affairs and Governance: Marlia, Coordinator for Public Relations: Angga Indra Lesmana Suyamat, Coordinator for Governance: Elin Herlina, Public Relations Officer; Listiani Sugiyono, Data and Information Analyst: Sholeh Qomaruddin, Information Systems Analyst: Susi Aryanti, Archivist; Addina Daniswari, Legal and Governance Analyst; and Erna Susanti, Legal and Governance Analyst.
This benchmarking activity served as a platform for collaboration between BAPETEN and the academic community in developing public education approaches on nuclear energy that are informative, credible, and easily understood by the public.
BAPETEN hopes that synergy with Universitas Padjadjaran will further enhance the professionalism of public information services and strengthen a culture of transparency and accountability to the public. [BHKK/SP]
