Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safey Assessment Dahlia C Sinaga gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Safety Performance Indicator Assessment (SPI) at Non Reactor Nuclear Installations (INNR) throughout Indonesia, held in bsd Serpong Tangerang, on Tuesday (20/10).

In the same activity with the Socialization of Surveillance Culture Survey Dahlia stated that INNR has a lower risk and does not have specific documents from the IAEA in measuring SPI, so INNR measurement is done with documents owned by INNR facilities." INNR is at lower risk but has a lot of variety and if we talk about indicators then there should be parameters measured and year after year should increase" he said

Dahlia added that no less important SPI can be compared with the inspection results from BAPETEN to see the extent of the gap in performance indicators conducted by internal INNR with performance indicators conducted by inspections for the purposes of future evaluation of INNR.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, Agus Yudhi P.who became the Coordinator in this activity said that SPI is a tool to measure self-performance and SPI assessment is currently the 4th (fourth) year activity in its implementation."SPI is a tool to measure self-performance related to safety, prevention of occurrence of an event, preparedness and response related to safety aspects" he said.

The benefits of this SPI is to provide early warningsystem to the safety conditions of the installation, improve the effectiveness of operational data management, as inputs for the overall process, identify trends of weaknesses and causes of system failure and as operational safety feedback to make improvements of installation safety.

The event was then continued with a presentation from each PIC SPI at INNR (IEBE, PTRR, IPEBRR, IRM, and KHIPSB3) to present SPI in which there are overall indicators namely operation safety, worker radiation safety, environmental radiation safety, nuclear preparedness, quality management, and physical protection.(P2STPIBN/Zulfiandri/BHKK/Bams/RA/OR)
