After successfully held a workshop on Understanding Measurement & validation Standards for Laboratory Studies, Bapeten through Center of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Surces Regulatory Assessment (P2STPFRZR) in collaboration with the Indonesian Standardization Society (Mastan) once again held a workshop and this time took the topic of Measurement Uncertainty in its Application.Method uncertainty is a parameter that relates to the results of testing or measurement and reflects the dissemination of values that are feasible given to the magnitude of the measurement.

The workshop was held for two days, on 25 and 27 November, 2020. The topics studied in this workshop focused on the Introduction of ISO Guide To The Expression Of Uncertainty In Measurement (ISO GUM) which includes the concept of measurement, the concept of measurement uncertainty, the outline of ISO GUM, Mathematical analysis and Statistics for Evaluation of Measurement Uncertainty which includes the concept of opportunity, the form of opportunity distribution and standard deviation, degree of freedom, partial decrease, sensitivity coefficient, measurement uncertainty evaluation measures, and measurement uncertainty reporting provisions.

This workshop was attended by 23 participants from P2STPFRZR and P2STPIBN. It is expected that participants can understand the importance of testing uncertainty, able to analyze the source of uncertainty, able and skilled to perform uncertainty calculations and make reports of test results along with reasonable uncertainty values in supporting the results of the study.(P2STPFRZR/Hermansyah/BHHK/YL/RA/OR).
