Verification Radiotherapy Licensing of NTB Provincial Hospital and Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin South Kalimantan

Bapeten Inspection Team conducted verification activities against the application for operating permit for the use of radiotherapy. Verification activities are carried out as a condition of issuance of permits to ensure that equipment, facilities, human resources, SOP, have met the requirements of radiation safety and radiation source safety while ensuring protection of workers, patients, communities and the environment.
Thee inspection team led by the Director of Licensing for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources Ishak verified the licensing of The Co-60 Equinox 100 Teletherapy aircraft, Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan and the inspection team led by the Health Facility Licensing Coordinator Mukhlisin verified the licensing of Brakhitherapy Co-60 Bebig Saginova aircraft, RSUD Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB).
The pararel implementation took place from 30 November to 2 December 2020, and continued to implement strict health protocols using personal protective equipment (PPE) and inspection teams conducted rapid tests before and after the activity.
The scope of inspection in the field include examination of administrative documents, design plans, exposure measurements, mechanical system tests, safety system tests, commissioning tests, dosimetry system measurements, and simulated performance of radioactive source security systems.[DPFRZR/Dwiang/BHKK/SP/RA/OR]
