Meanwhile, the Inspection Team led by the Health Licensing Coordinator of BAPETEN Mukhlisin, verified the Saginova HDR Afterloading Bebig Brachytherapy Aircraft with a radioactive source of Co-60 at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital.

Verification activities are requirement for issuing permits to ensure that equipment, facilities, human resources, SOPs, have met the requirements for radiation safety and radiation source security while at the same time guaranteeing the protection of workers, patients, the community and the environment. This activity will be held on 8-11 February 2021, by implementing strict health protocols.

The scope of onsite inspection by the inspection team, consists of technical inspections such as design plans, protection equipment, safety of radioactive sources, measurement of gamma and neutron radiation exposure, mechanical system tests, safety system tests, commissioning tests, dosimetry system measurements, and performance simulations.

The results of the verification of radiotherapy permit requirements at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital and Indriati Solo Hospital, have not been able to fulfil the requirements for issuing permits.
