The trainees are representatives of the work units of the Directorate of Inspection of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources, the Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources, the Centre for Regulatory Assessment of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources.

The opening was carried out on Wednesday 3 August 2022 by Deputy Chairman of Licensing and Inspection Zainal Arifin. In his remarks, it was stated that inspectors not only follow the articles of the regulations and also the use of tools, but must also understand how we behave in the face of people in the field.

"An inspector, in addition to having to master the rules and radiation measuring instruments, must also understand how we deal with people in the field," he said.

It was added by Zainal that the Inspector must be disciplined, the inspection terrain be good at behaving and communicating., "the inspector will make an assessment of others, therefore must first be disciplined, good at behaving and also good at communicating" he added.

Previously, the Head of Education and Training Division, Ahmad Ciptadi Syuryavin, had given material directions to participants related to self-learning. "Participants are expected to be swift in acting in the field. The self-learning method is implemented to increase the absorption of participants' knowledge," he said.

In this training, Zainal Arifin also delivered a material entitled "Challenges of Inspectors for Supervision of Nuclear Energy Utilization in the OSS Era" to provide provisions to prospective young inspectors of Bapeten in carrying out their duties to supervise the use of nuclear energy in Indonesia.
