Training of Radioactive Sources Security for Internal Security Personnel in BAPETEN

BAPETEN conducted a three-day training course on Radioactive Source Security for 15 internal security officers on May 5-7, 2015. This introductory training delivered not only basic knowledge on radiation and related risks, but also how to deal and secure radioactive sources.
Head of General Bureau, Ms Berthie Isa, hoped that this course will increase the knowledge of internal security personnel in dealing with security of radioactive sources. In this course, participants also learned how to use Raduation Portal Monitor (RPM) and enriched in a simulation related with devices used in securing radioactive sources. [BHO/MR]
