The event began with a report on the implementation of training by Sub-Coordinator of Organizing and Training Facilities Ummul Khair who said that this training aims to provide an understanding of the elements of radioactive source security and provide the ability to compile radioactive source security documents as a source security procedure in work environment as a permit holder. Facilitators at this training are all from BAPETEN, with online methods because it is still in pandemic conditions.

The event was opened by the Head of Education and Training Division Lukman Hakim, he conveyed "This training is a mandate stated in the Government Regulation (PP) No. 33 of 2007 on The Safety of Ionizing Radiation and the Safety of Radioactive Sources. This PKSR is for officers who secure radioactive facilities but not for high radiation or x-ray plants.

"It is expected that by participating in this training will get information, knowledge and expertise in the use and transport of radioactive sources. Hopefully all participants can follow the training as a whole or there are no obstacles and healthy, all in order to be able to absorb the knowledge that exists." Added.

The training is held from 28 June to 2 July 2021, followed by 17 participants from companies / industrial and medical institutions in Indonesia.

The event continued with presentations and exercises in handling radioactive sources, including presentations on the Urgency of Nuclear Security, Laws and Regulations, Radiation Safety and Effects Systems, Radioactive Source Safety Systems and Equipment, Countermeasures of Radioactive Source Safety Emergencies, Radioactive Source Safety Culture and Guidelines for The Preparation of Radioactive Source Safety Programs.
