The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Education and Training Division (Balai Diklat), conducted an orientation for Batch II participants of the Ministry of Manpower’s National Internship Program for university graduates. The event took place from November 26 to December 2, 2025, utilizing a blended learning format.

The orientation was opened by the Head of BAPETEN’s Education and Training Center, Ahmad Ciptadi Suryavin. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that this internship serves as a field-based learning opportunity for university graduates to understand the duties associated with nuclear regulatory oversight in Indonesia. Participants are expected to leverage this opportunity to enhance their capabilities, broaden their perspectives, and gain insight into the professional environment at BAPETEN.

On the first day, participants were introduced to BAPETEN’s organizational structure, work culture, and the roles of their mentors. They also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Education and Training Center’s facilities and meet the staff involved in guiding them throughout the internship.

The orientation continued with team-based ice-breaking sessions involving both participants and Education and Training Center staff, aimed at fostering teamwork and communication while building rapport among the participants. During the content session, Ade Hana Natalia presented a topic on differing perceptions and the importance of effective communication in the workplace.

On the second day, participants engaged in learning via the Learning Management System (LMS) to understand the duties, functions, and roles of work units within the Licensing and Inspection divisions: DPIBN, DPFRZR, DIFRZR, DKKN, and DIIBN. This material provided a comprehensive overview of the organizational structure, nuclear oversight workflows, licensing and inspection processes, and safety assessments for nuclear facilities.

On the third day, the LMS-based learning continued with material covering the roles and functions of work units within the Nuclear Safety Assessment divisions: P2STPIBN, P2STPFRZR, DP2IBN, and DP2FRZR. The participants then toured the various work units at BAPETEN, guided by Eka Kurniawan and Yovi Dewanda, and inspected facilities for dental radiography, general radiography, C-Arm imaging, engineering, and emergency response.

Haendra Subekti, BAPETEN’s Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment, was also present to provide guidance and encouragement, urging the participants to carry out their duties in alignment with the Ministry of Manpower’s performance indicators while always working with enthusiasm and delivering their best.

On the final day, the participants learned about the roles and functions of the secretariat-related work units: BPIK, BHKK, BOU, the Inspectorate, and the Training Center. This session concluded the orientation series prior to the participants beginning their internships in their respective units. [BDL/PriyoDarmawan, AiMelani/BHKK/SP/Translator: GP]
