Kembali 15 September 2022 | Berita BAPETEN

BAPETEN’s Centre for Regulatory Assessment of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (P2STPFRZR) held a Technical Guidance for the Introduction of Diagnostic Guideline Levels (TPD) and the Use of the Si-INTAN Application which was carried out in combination online and offline, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Jakarta.

The technical guidance this time was attended by representatives of healthcare facilities that have IR Fluoroscopy modality in Jakarta and other areas, focused on reporting patient dose data and TPD analysis for IR Fluoroscopy modality to increase data compliance in preparation for setting the National Diagnostic Guidance Level value on IR Fluoroscopy.

The event was opened by the Health Study Coordinator Rusmanto. In his remarks, Rusmanto said that this technical guidance is important to always be carried out within the framework of introducing, reminding, and getting feedback regarding the level of diagnostic guidance and Si-INTAN. "We hope is that users can improve and maintain consistency in contributing patient dose data through an integrated national system, namely Si-INTAN," he said.

The head of P2STPFRZR Taruniyati Handayani, who attended this event online, said that in 2022 the National Diagnostic Guidance Level score for interventional fluoroscopy modality would be determined. "Through this activity, it is expected that there will be an acceleration of patient data collection so that sufficient data in the context of determining the National TPD can be fulfilled," she said.

Runi added as she is familiarly called, BAPETEN is always ready to assist facilities in implementing medical exposure optimization through TPD evaluation and the use of the Si-INTAN application.

In this technical guidance activity, the presented material were The Introduction of TPD and The Si-INTAN Application by Endang Kunarsih and The Procedures for Using the Si-INTAN Application for IR Fluoroscopy Modalities by Ida Bagus Gede Putra Pratama.

In addition to receiving material from the resource person earlier, participants were guided directly by BAPETEN's IDRL Team for hands-on practice starting from registering a Si-INTAN account to inputting/reporting patient dose data into Si-INTAN.

Through this technical guidance activity, it is expected that the active participation of healthcare facilities in reporting data on patient doses can increase so that the data used as material for determining IDRL can also raise.

Apart from that, it is expected that awareness for evaluating the administration of radiation doses to diagnostic and interventional radiology patients can also increase as mandated in BAPETEN Regulation No. 4/2020. (P2STPFRZR/Ida Bagus Gede Putra Pratama/Endang Kunarsih/BHKK/Bams/Da/RA)
