The assessment was conducted in a hybrid format on 20 January 2026 at the BAPETEN Building in Jakarta, involving four candidates who had passed the administrative selection and previously completed the Managerial and Socio-cultural Competency Assessments as well as the Technical Competency Assessment for Paper or Policy Brief Preparation held on 9–13 December 2025.

The four candidates participating in the assessment were Achmad Bussamah, S.T., M.K.K.K.; Asep Saefulloh Hermawan, S.Si., M.T.; Indra Gunawan, S.H.; and Mohammad Ridwan, S.T., M.Eng.

The Technical Competency Assessment was led by the Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment and concurrently the Acting Executive Secretary of BAPETEN, Haendra Subekti, S.T., M.T., in his capacity as Chair of the Selection Committee, together with members of the selection committee representing various ministries and institutions, including the Cabinet Support Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Technology.
