To understand the supervision and regulation of nuclear energy utilization in Indonesia, BAPETEN held a talk show through Trijaya FM with theme "Regulation of Nuclear Power Control in Indonesia", Friday (02/10). This talk show presented Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Dahlia Cakrawati Sinaga and Director of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources (RFRS) Djoko Hari Nugroho as speakers.

This talk show discussed about urgency and purpose of the revision of Government Regulation (PP) No.29 Year 2008. Due to the rapid development of technology, the revision of PP is carried out to accommodate all activities of nuclear energy utilization, both in the field of health, industry, and research.

"The licensing system in BAPETEN must link with a national system called Online Single Submission (OSS). OSS is connected with all Ministries / Institutions, so that later there will be no overlap of documents. The licensing process is also simplified. These are the reforms that we are doing in PP 29," dahlia explained.

Dahlia also said that in this revision will also be regulated about the validity period of permits and licensing services online to shorten the time of granting permission by BAPETEN.

Lastly, Djoko hoped that the revision of PP No.29 of 2008 can be used and utilized by stakeholders and the public.[BHKK/IP/RA/OR]
