This outreach event was held under the theme "Regulatory Outreach on Planning the Oversight Program for Nuclear Energy Utilization in Indonesia." It was attended by 150 residents of Cilacap representing various segments of the community.

The event was opened by Haendra Subekti, who stated, "Dissemination activities like this will be expanded and sustained so that the public understands BAPETEN’s role and learns that nuclear technology offers benefits in daily life, highlighting the need for information regarding the utilization of nuclear energy in Indonesia."

The event continued with remarks from Sugeng Suparwoto, Deputy Chairman of Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), who noted, "Nuclear technology can serve as a beneficial resource, for instance, in the health sector and through various other technologies related to nuclear energy utilization."

Next, Achmad Bussamah, Head of BAPETEN’s Internal Auditors, delivered a presentation titled "Planning the Oversight Program for Nuclear Energy Utilization in Indonesia." One of the program's objectives is to ensure that nuclear energy is utilized solely for peaceful purposes and the welfare of the Indonesian people. "We will ensure that the utilization of nuclear energy in Indonesia poses no danger to workers, the public, or the environment," he emphasized.
