SIB Test Services for Nuclear Installation and Material Officers in the Canal Connecting Temporary Used Nuclear Fuel Storage Installations (KH-IPSB3)

The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Licensing of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DPIBN), continues to carry out testing services to obtain Work Permits (SIB) for Nuclear Materials Installation officers, although in the spirit of savings in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Instruction (INPRES) No. 1 of 2025 on the efficiency of APBN spending. In the spirit of efficiency, testing will take place for three days, namely 11-13 February 2025, with two days at KH-IPSB3 Integrated Science Area KST B.J. Habibie, South Tangerang, and one day online via teleconference.
SIB Testing Services is an implementation of Article 19 of Law No. 10 of 1997 on Nuclear Energy, which mandates the obligation of certain officers at nuclear installations to have work permits. The test implementation refers to Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency Regulation No. 7 of 2019 concerning Work Permits for Nuclear Installation and Materials (IBN) Officers, which states that to obtain a work permit, IBN officers must meet the requirements and be declared to have passed the nuclear installation and materials officer exam held by BAPETEN. The testing carried out consists of three types of exams, namely written exams, oral exams, and practical exams.
Written exams and practical exams are carried out at the KH-IPSB3 location, and interview exams and practical results presentation sessions are via teleconference. The implementation of the practical exam is assisted by accompanying examiners from DPFK-BRIN and carried out at the KH-IPSB3, DPFK-BRIN facilities.
