Qualification Exam for Nuclear Installation Radiation Protection Officers at the Kartini Reactor in Baiquni Science and Education Area (KSE)

The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Licensing of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DPIBN), held the Nuclear Installation Radiation Protection Officer Qualification Examination (PPR IN) at the Kartini Reactor Yogyakarta on Tuesday–Thursday, March 5–7, 2024. This exam was taken by five people who applied for a new work permit as a PPR IN Non-Power Reactor (RND) for the Kartini Reactor.
According to BAPETEN Regulation No. 7 of 2019 on Nuclear Installation and Materials (IBN) Officer Work Permits, every IBN officer is required to have a work permit from BAPETEN, and in order to obtain this work permit, IBN officers must meet the requirements and pass the BAPETEN qualification examination.
The PPR IN exam is conducted in three stages: written/electronic exams, oral exams, and practical exams. This exam is held to ensure that IBN officers' competencies are met, resulting in safety for officers, the community, and the environment. [DPIBN/Icha/Siwhan/BHKK/OR/GP]
