BAPETEN Emergency Response Team (ERT) has been dispatched to investigate any radioactive trace in MV Ocean Carrier, which sailed from Iran to Yangjian, China. The ship aground offshore near Sambu Island, Riau Islands Province, after a collision accident with another ship.

A well-coordinated response is established among enforcement agencies (including BAPETEN, Bakamla (Maritime Security Agency), KPLP (Coast Guard Task Force, Army and Police), to make sure whether Ocean Carrier transport nuclear waste or Uranium, as rumor spreads.
