The event was opened by the Executive Secretary of BAPETEN Sugeng Sumbarjo. In his opening remarks, Sugeng conveyed "The Directorate of Licensing for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Substances (DPFRZR) BAPETEN as a supporter in the preparation of the Draft Norms, Standards, Procedures and Criteria (NSPK) Risk-Based Business Licensing for the Nuclear Sector, it is hoped that the Balis can be integrated with risk-based OSS according to the Government's target which will go live on June 2, 2021."

The coordination meeting discussed about changing the approach from licensing to risk basis, so that it could sort out which ones should be monitored more closely because they are high risk and which ones are not too tight (supervised) because they are low risk, for fast service.
