BAPETEN's Inspection Team chaired by the Director of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Substances Licensing Ishak along with Director of Inspection of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials Zainal Arifin, conduct permit verification activities whose been delayed since Covid-19 pandemic. Verification is a radiotherapy surgery permit requirement. This time, verification was carried out from 16 to 24 July 2020 at Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung for the Equinox Co-60 Teletherapy and the Brachytherapy Co-60 Bebig at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Medical Center.
The verification of permits is divided into two stages, namely verification of online administrative requirements from 16 to 17 July 2020 and verification of technical requirements at the hospital on direct inspection from 22 to 24 July 2020.
This activity is carried out as a condition of the issuance of a permit to guarantee that equipment, facilities, human resources, SOPs, have fulfilled the requirements for radiation safety and radiation source security, and also guarantee protection for workers, patients, community and environment.
To prevent the spread of the virus, the inspector team are required to conduct rapid test before and after a field trip to the hospital and their results are negative Covid-19. [DewiAngestiningsih/DPFRZR/IS/BHKK]
